General Practice

General practice involves preventive care, such as vaccinations, parasite screenings, and maintaining a healthy pet, as well as treating pets with illnesses. We are pleased to have several of our doctors focused within this area, so we can treat and prevent anything that faces our patients. Whether you have a new puppy or a senior pet, our customized health and wellness plans are tailored to meet your pets unique needs.

We believed in a well-balanced vaccine protocol, which incorporates core vaccines that are recommended for every patient by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Non-core vaccines are administered depending on the individual risk or exposure your pet may face. Our team will be happy to discuss this with you during your appointment.

We focus on detecting changes in your pet at a very early stage. There are many screening tests that we recommend, such as annual heartworm tests in dogs, checking thyroid and kidney values in older cats, and screening for parasites in cats and dogs at least annually. It is our job to not only treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

Should your pet need to be seen for medical problems, Animal Clinic Northview has multiple diagnostic options on site to rapidly diagnose and treat your furry/feathered/hairless/and even scaly friend. We have digital X-ray, digital ultrasound, an internal laboratory, a commercial laboratory, and an excellent staff ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
